AFELO is an Open Source image compression wizard by EducDesign. It allows to select, resize, compress and upload images to a webserver. AFELO is free, open, platform independent and easy to use.

You can upload your images to any OLEFA, FTP or AFELO gateway server. If you're a website or blog owner you can install the AFELO gateway script which allows to upload images directly to your site. Server software developers can easily update their scripts to make them AFELO compatible.

The compression algorithm used by the windows version of AFELO is a part of the ImageMagick software suite. The Mac OS X version uses the CoreImageTool from Marc Liyanage. The Linux version of AFELO tries to use ImageMagick too, in the case it's not installed, AFELO uses its own algorithms.
